AWS AI Data Team is looking for a strong Senior Technical Program Manager who can lead the team to collect and deliver high quality data sets for our highly sophisticated AI programs.

As a Technical Program Manager on the team, you will work with multiple teams to help solve complex technical solutions aimed to build and improve our AI products. You will have a direct influence on the data science and collection strategies as well as the overall operations.

A day in the life
As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will interact with our Product, Engineering and Science team on program objectives and participate in the operational planning to achieve these objects with adequate budget and resources based on realistic timeline. You will define the execution strategy specifically for data collection by collaborating with the Language Engineers, Program Managers and third party vendors on the team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS degree in Data Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Business or equivalent.
  • 5+ years experience as a Technical Program Manager or Technical Project Manager.
  • Proficient knowledge of Project/Program Management principles and processes.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communications to various levels of management, to technical and non-technical audiences, and cross team customers/stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, successful track record of coordinating between multiple project stakeholders, technical program managers, and software development teams.
  • Experience in creating and managing complex, cross-team project plans; prior success in driving execution of large-scale project plans with multiple cross-functional teams in support of business goals.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with development life cycles and agile methodologies
  • Experience with speech or text data specification and requirements, data annotation and natural language processing.
  • Experience with third party vendor engagement and management.
  • Experience with operational logistics such as resource forecasting, finance, and contracts
  • Experience with people management
