The AWS Worldwide Revenue Operations team owns sales revenue which is used to analyze and manage the performance of the AWS Sales organization and calculate sales reps' compensation.

The AWS Worldwide Revenue Operations team is seeking a dynamic and results driven individual to lead the sales revenue publish process (end to end processing of AWS sales revenue), own the revenue reconciliation processes, deep dive and educate customers on complex revenue topics and streamline operational processes to handle customer questions.

The successful candidate will have exemplary communication skills. The candidate will need to be comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, and able to think big while paying careful attention to detail.

We're looking for a motivated self-starter who has a strong background in finance, accounting or sales revenue processes who continually looks for opportunities to own and enhance critical revenue functions. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the ability to quickly identify compliance risks and drive solutions, while earning trust with business partners to ensure accurate revenue reporting processing.

This person must have strong analytical capabilities and a mentality to continually improve processes. You must be able to interface effectively and communicate convincingly with leaders at all levels. You will demonstrate the ability to work well and influence strategically in both small team and large, cross-functional environments.

The right candidate must have a track record of project management, driving multiple product launches across a variety of categories; strong planning and prioritization skills are a must.This role will report to the Revenue Product Manager.

Key job responsibilities

  • Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Deep dive into revenue data leveraging data analysis tools like Excel and SQL and use business acumen to evaluate revenue accuracy and glean business insights
  • Streamline the sales revenue publish process through initiatives such as but not limited to automating the data quality checks, setting up UAT check ins and consolidating feedback from the team, connecting with the upstream teams to ensure no delays, effectively communicating deadlines and downstream customer notifications
  • Quickly identify compliance risks and drive solutions to adhere to set standards to ensure revenue and compensation accuracy
  • Proactively identify and implement operational improvements, enhancements to support sales revenue publish processes
  • Efficiently answer customer questions about sales revenue after independently researching and understanding complex revenue topics
  • Reconciliation of data sourced from multiple internal systems using a combination of data analysis skills, strong understanding of the business and working collaboratively with other team members and customers
  • Support weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting built on underlying revenue datasets
  • Provide ongoing projects and enhancements support specifically with regards to improving the efficiency of the sales revenue publish process

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, accounting, finance or a related field
  • 4+ years of intermediate SQL skills
  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience
  • 4+ years experience w/ Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Report Building, nested formulas, etc.)
  • Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced skills in Excel including Macros
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all functions and levels of the organization
  • Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
  • Highly organized, have multi-tasking skills, and efficient in ambiguous situations
