Job summary

Looking for a challenging role that is at the heart of driving Sales Enablement through analytics? Looking to learn about how the business works and build your data analytics career? AWS WWRO - Enablement, Training and Communications (ETC) team is looking for a Project Manager to support the operations of the Customer Academy. Data drives how we measure efficacy of field enablement and how we experiment and innovate with new courses and approaches. The AWS Customer Academy is focused on building the technical competency for AWS field members and the role will allow the candidate to learn about the AWS Business whilst fulfilling a critical function to provide analytics/reporting for the programs within the Academy. The candidate will be able to apply their own expertise and leverage this opportunity to grow into their careers focusing on sales enablement and analytics.

Preferred location for this position is Atlanta, GA. Relocation assistance offered from within the US.

Key job responsibilities

What you’ll do:

  • Define analytical approach; review and vet proposed analytical approach with stakeholders.
  • Gather business requirements & deliver operational excellence - Translate business problems into requirements for analysis - provides metrics/ dashboards and decks.
  • Reporting – Own the development and maintenance of new and existing artifacts focused on analysis of requirements, metrics, and reporting dashboards.
  • Analytical Studies – Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.
  • Work with different program owners to help intake their requirements and support with any analytics as needed.
  • Identify and implement optimal communication mechanisms based on the data sets and the stakeholders involved.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 3+ years of advanced SQL experience.
  • 3+ years of project management experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience w/Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Report Building, nested formulas, etc.)
  • Proven ability to build queries to join data for multiple data bases.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate will have experience working in a program and operations role in the past. Can demonstrate proven hands on work with data teams to help automate reporting and analytical dashboards. Can work with other program teams to deliver on change requests or enhancements.

The candidate should be able to demonstrate:

  • A working knowledge of the data available or needed by the wider business for more complex or comparative analysis.
  • Pulling data using efficient query development that requires less post processing – SQL proficiency.
  • When needed, to pull data from multiple similar sources to triangulate on data fidelity.
  • The capability to handle large data sets in analysis using additional tools.
  • Understanding of test and control comparison and running experimentation.
  • Ability to provide insights through basic statistical measures such as hypothesis testing.
  • Communicating complex analytical insights and business implications effectively.
  • Actively managing the timeline and deliverables of projects, focusing on interactions in the team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to comfortably engage with internal and external customers.
