We are hiring Senior IoT Data Architect into our Professional Services team to help our customers and partners envision, develop, and implement next generation IoT Data solutions.


This position requires a blend of both consulting skills and hands-on implementation skills. In addition to facilitating and leading meetings, AWS Senior Consultants write code, configure cloud environments, and build new solutions. They work side-by-side with senior leaders and engineers to deliver new solutions to production, advise on architecture and technology, lead work-streams, manage stakeholders, and assess enterprise cloud portfolios. They provide leadership to customers migrating existing platforms, solutions and systems using the full range of AWS cloud services.

The successful candidate will become a trusted adviser to our customers and will work with AWS sales, business development, solution architects, and our IoT service team to drive IoT Data services adoption and revenue. This will include showcasing services such as AWS IoT Core, AWS IoT SiteWise, AWS IoT Analytics, AWS IoT Events, Amazon Kinesis, Amazon QuickSight.

Key job responsibilities

  • Customer Delivery - Design and implement end-to-end solutions on AWS to support customers’ IoT and IIoT use cases across industrial sectors.
  • Customer Engagement – Collaborate with AWS Sales leaders and service teams to formulate and execute a strategy to drive adoption of AWS.
    Industry Thought Leadership – Work with Customers, Partners, and AWS
  • teams to create, improve, and bring to market industry solutions built on AWS.
    Customer Advocacy – Influence AWS services’ roadmap based on Customers and Partners requirements to drive adoption of the AWS platform.
  • Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS.
  • This is a customer facing role. You will be required to travel to client locations and deliver professional services when needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
    6+ years of experience in application architecture, data architecture,
  • networking, or distributed system development experience.
    6+ years of software development or application engineering with recent coding experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in Smart Factory, Industry 4.0, or Industrial IoT (IIoT) solutions within industries such as Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Power & Utility, Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals, Food & Beverage, or Consumer Packaged Goods.
  • Experience building large-scale, distributed systems.
    Experience working with external or internal customers to implement large-scale solutions.
  • Understanding of emerging time-series, streaming and search technologies.
    Experience developing innovative solutions to complex business and technology problems
  • Must have outstanding written, verbal communication skills with an emphasis on communicating technical requirements and solutions to internal and external audiences.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering or Math.
    Hands on experience developing with AWS IoT Services and AWS Data

Services.

  • Experience developing solutions leveraging data science and analytics.
  • Experience in stream processing using Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming.
