Do you want to innovate on a new platform with Amazon Web Services?

Come join our team in AWS, you’ll help us design and develop solutions that enables AWS to expand our operations into new data centers worldwide. As a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE), you will build dashboards that will help AWS comply at scale. You'll design and build reporting systems that will provide real-time metrics and business insights that help our leadership make key business decisions.

In this role, you will:

  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing performance metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions
  • Build scalable solutions/self-serve platforms that will provide data/KPIs to inform business decision making
  • Acquire various data sources to enable holistic analysis at a global level
  • Build various data visualizations to tell the story and let the data speak for itself
  • Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
  • Proactively developing new metrics and studies to quantify customer behavior.

This role is in Security Assurance's Global Trade and Product Compliance (GTPC) technology teams. GTPC Tech is building software to help the trade and compliance team's processes and compliance programs. We're building a suite of NAWS micro-services for compliance activities and integrations across AWS including the supply chain, finance, tax and legal teams. Automation is critical in the space as AWS' operations expand into new countries. GTPC Tech is poised to innovate automations critical to AWS and extendable to other teams in Amazon across a myriad of compliance programs including impactful projects with a sustainability focus.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 years of experience performing business intelligence or business analyst functions, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools.
  • Degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Computer Science or other quantitative area, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong skills in accessing and using analytical tools (Tableau, QuickSight, MS Excel).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Highly proficient in SQL
  • Experience building interactive QuickSight dashboards
  • Experience managing complex metrics review reporting processes
  • Advanced analytical skills and detail-oriented, while also seeing and understanding the big picture.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills working with multiple peer groups and different levels of management.
