To meet the growing demand for Amazon Web Services, the Americas Solution Architects (SA) & Customer Solutions Managers (CSM) organization has grown significantly in recent years. We are now building our Strategy and Analytics team to help us operate at scale. This team is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and delivering insights from data and building tools that will help our SAs and CSMs serve our customers better.

We are seeking a professional who can operate with a startup mentality while partnering with managers and business leaders to deliver sound, data-backed recommendations and insights, identify areas of improvement and suggest and implement solutions.

The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, excited about generating insights that will influence the direction of the Americas technical organization. You will be curious and comfortable digging deep into data and developing core metrics to identify areas of improvement and partner with the business to find effective solutions. You will develop new ways to measure and track our performance, and improve the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Subject matter expert – develop deep knowledge of the AMER SA/CSM goals including how they are calculated, which operational systems are used and what each role must do in order to create a complaint target attainment.

  • Perform detailed analysis of key business metrics and provide actionable insights
  • Partner with the business to model, design, and build solutions in Tableau, Excel and Quicksight.
  • Proactively seek out ways to improve processes and productivity, and make recommendations to support an organization scaling at a rapid pace

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis
  • 2+ years of experience in Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.)
  • 2+ years experience with at least one data visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau, QuickSight, or similar)
  • 1+ years of experience using SQL
  • Able to work in a diverse team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or related field
  • Advanced ability to draw insights from data and clearly communicate them to the stakeholders and senior management as required
  • Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
  • Ability to deliver on ambiguous projects with incomplete data
  • Experience with cloud-based databases and data lakes, especially those based on AWS technologies (e.g. Redshift).
