Job summary
Amazon’s independent publishing service, Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), empowers creators by tearing down barriers that once blocked writers from reaching readers. We always challenge ourselves to create new venues to help writers reach their readers even faster, and to help readers find and enjoy their next favorite story anytime, anywhere.
We are looking for a skilled software developer to join our team. You will build best-in-class user experiences for authors to publish content and get paid, and for readers to discover and enjoy the stories they like. You will also build reliable and performant systems that can scale to serve authors and readers across continents. You will gain first-hand experience building products using Amazon Web Services (AWS) services and latest front-end technologies (web and mobile). You will also have the opportunity to work on a wide range of problems such as data store and workflow management, API design and service integration, and mobile app/web UX, while building deep expertise in the areas of your choice.
We are looking for YOU, a talented software development engineer with a strong background in Computer Science and excellent problem-solving skills to be an integral part of the team, and influence how and what we build for our customers. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with experienced product managers, UX designers, and other senior engineers to influence both product and architectural decisions, and build out end-to-end technology solutions. If you are interested in working on brand new projects, working with cutting edge technologies, working closely in a small team with big impact, this is the team for you. Let’s talk.
