Job summary
AWS AI/ML is looking for world class scientists and engineers to join its AI Research and Education group working on a new ML-based product at the intersection of relational learning, semantic representation, natural language processing, and data integration. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in areas such as schema matching, entity recognition and linking, relationship extraction, data lineage identification, text generation, dataset summarization, structured and unstructured data representation learning, and knowledge graphs generation to develop a semantic layer connecting the assets stored in large data lakes.

At AWS AI/ML you will invent, implement, and deploy state of the art machine learning algorithms and systems. You will build prototypes and play a key role in evolving them into large scale production systems. You will interact closely with our customers, engineering, product teams, and with the academic and research communities. You will be at the heart of a growing and exciting focus area for AWS and work with other acclaimed engineers and world famous scientists.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • M.S. degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related disciplines.
  • 6+ years of experience in areas such as data technologies, data & metadata management solutions, analytics, schema matching, machine learning, natural language processing, table/data summarization, text generation, deep learning, or related areas.
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks such as Pytorch.
  • Proficiency in Python or C/C++.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related disciplines.
  • Published and/or presented papers at ACL, NAACL, EMNLP, AACL, ICML, NeurIPS, AISTATS, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, OSDI, Eurosys, SC, SIGCOMM or similar top-tier conferences and events.
  • Research experiences in the following areas: natural language processing (entity recognition, text generation etc.), transfer learning, deep learning, graph neural networks, search, knowledge graphs.
  • Experience designing, developing and launching customer-facing products and services for machine learning.
