Job Description

Are you interested in having a global impact on how AWS customers adopt cloud technology? We are building a team that will own the mechanism our AWS customer-facing teams use to provide product feature requirements back to our product and engineering teams. We are seeking a results-oriented Data Analyst to join the Closed Loop Feedback team to capture customer demand signal for product improvements. You will be responsible for creating dashboards for Specialist teams, building out reports to close the loop with field teams and drive insights to delight AWS customers.

Key job responsibilities

In this role you will:

• Structure data for service teams and specialist teams to understand the impact of requests, and drive signal for AWS customers.
• Work backwards from the business leaders to gather business requirements & deliver insightful analytics solutions and KPIs for the business.
• Own the development and maintenance of new and existing reporting dashboards through rich visualizations in Tableau/Amazon Quicksight.
• Identify trends for customer demand, patterns & outliers.
• Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.
• Build relationships across Amazon, working with other analytics and data teams for insights and best practice sharing.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree
• 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics for Business Insights or Business Intelligence purposes
• 5+ years of experience with SQL
• 5+ years experience with at least one Data Visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau, QuickSight, or similar)
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (including VBA, Macros, Pivot Tables, array functions, Power Pivots, etc)
• A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected datasets.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Finance, Statistics or a related discipline
• Experience presenting analytics insights to Sr. Leadership
• Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
• Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

This position can be remote, but candidates must be based near an AWS office location (Arlington, Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Cupertino, Charlotte, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, East Palo Alto, Herndon, Houston, Irvine, Minneapolis, Nashville, New York City, Pittsburgh, Portland, San Diego, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Sunnyvale, Santa Monica, Seattle, Tempe)

The base pay range for this position in Colorado is $74,300-$130,100/yr, in NYC and Jersey City it is $81,700 - $143,100/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
