Job Description

Job summary

ADC Networking owns the entire lifecycle - design, build, deployment, scaling, sustaining engineering, and operations - of our networks connecting between and within the data centers for a dedicated customer region, interconnections to customer networks, and the solutions that enable remote access to these regions from secure operations facilities.

As our dedicated cloud regions continue to grow, we are looking for a Data Scientist to drive data insights across our organization to increase operational efficiency and network performance. The pace, scale, and growth of Amazon’s data center network environment and platforms will challenge your technical and process expertise. Our uncompromisingly high standards and rapid innovation on behalf of our customers will push you to new levels of creativity. So, if you are customer obsessed, and are looking for a fun and challenging environment, we would love to hear from you. You will be part of a highly technical team that spans multiple functions and organizations. This is a strategic and high impact role for AWS's end to end network infrastructure serving our dedicated cloud customers.

In this role, you will apply advanced analysis technique and statistical concepts to draw insights from datasets, create intuitive data visualizations, and build scalable machine learning models. You are a pragmatic generalist. You can contribute to each layers of a data solution – you work closely with business intelligence engineers and product managers to obtain relevant datasets and prototype predictive analytic models, you team up with data engineers and software development engineers to implement data pipeline to productionize your models, and review key results with business leaders and stakeholders. Your work exhibits a balance between scientific validity and business practicality.

To be successful in this role, you must be able to turn ambiguous business questions into clearly defined problems, develop quantifiable metrics and robust machine learning models from imperfect data sources, and deliver results that meet high standards of data quality, security, and privacy.

Position may be located in either Arlington or Herndon, VA 20170, Baltimore, Denver or Seattle. Relocation assistance offered (pending qualification guidelines).

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $136,000- 184,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
