The Data & Analytics Technical Product Manager (TPM) will lead a team of Technical Product Owners and Product Analysts that partner with the J&J Innovative Medicine SC organizations in planning and delivering high value capabilities for their critical business functions. The individual will assist in standing-up efficient High Performing Product Squads enabling a robust digital portfolio of scalable analytical capabilities for the J&J Innovative Medicine sector. Products include Transportation Sensor Tracking and Temperature Monitoring, Digital Twin and other Deliver and Manufacturing Business Analytics & Data Discovery solutions.

You will lead a technology team that partners closely with our business peers to identify information needs and to develop creative analytics products that deliver value beyond those that exist today. You and your team will be tasked with collaborating with business analytics teams responsible for crafting innovative self-service analytics solutions, including AI and ML, to deliver insights that will improve our Supply Chain process and our customers’ experience.

The Make & Deliver Technical Product Manager will be uniquely positioned to work collaboratively with Johnson & Johnson Technology and Business D&A leaders, including Digital Product Owners, Data Scientist, External Suppliers, and industry experts to ensure cohesive global D&A product strategies.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, develop, grow and motivate a team of ~5-6 of Technical Product Owners and Business Analyst.
  • Assist in establishing strong technology teams, and ensure all franchise product teams are “building the right thing” improving return on investment, enabling business value and setting shared expectations between all key partners.
  • Ensure that all product strategies and capabilities are aligned to our data strategy and overall D&A architectural standards.
  • Define and track metrics to focus on franchise business value realization throughout the lifecycle of product development, including critical end user metrics, product group performance, team health and product group maturity.
  • Lead a JJT (J&J Technology) Portfolio & drive the Quarterly Business Review (QBR) with the full product team.
  • Define D&A vision, goals and objectives for each Supply Chain Functional area, co-own strategic demand with the business, and aligning business and technology strategies.
  • Work with the Portfolio Manager or Business Product Owner to ensure dedicated funding is available to teams where required.
  • Work with Business Product Owners, manage product roadmaps and release planning, inform the backlog, solve for dependencies, and resource challenges.
  • Partner with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and multi-functional teams to understand as is processes; develop, pilot, and implement improvements.

Product / Digital Experience

  • Deep understanding of industry trends and user needs, ability to create a value proposition for the user and a vision for the Product Group that best support both the Supply Chain Make and Deliver business goals.
  • Experienced in developing systems, tools and business solutions that drive tangible value.
  • Sensor & IoT based technology product and service experience.
  • Manages a broad set of internal and external business drivers and financial metrics across multiple lines of business.
  • Foundational skills in Product Management, Data Engineering & Architecture, Agile Development Principals.
  • Experience with creating enterprise-scale solution designs is an advantage, including data lakes, IoT hubs, data integration services, BI tools.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors in Technology, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, engineering, applied data sciences or other related technical fields. Similar professional experience will also be considered.
  • 7+ years preferred of managing technical teams and working closely with business leaders; strong leadership, communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Sensor & IoT based technology product and service experience
  • Consulting experience and demonstrated strength in examining issues, shaping strategy & influencing effectively across the organization, driving people, process & technology change.
  • Experience in information-intensive industries or large digitally advanced enterprises are preferred.
  • Knowledge of data/information structures, modelling, and digital technologies; data management/catalog
  • Excellent interpersonal skills & strong ability to communicate at all levels. Ability to explain digital concepts & technologies to business leaders, as well as business concepts to technologists. Strong Financial acumen.
  • Experience leading high-profile product solutions delivered at an accelerated pace.

Expected Salary: $135,000 - $202,000
