By combining advancements in medical robotics, instrumentation, navigation, and data science, we are building intelligence platforms capable of growing the applicability of robotics to a new spectrum of medical procedures. We are seeking a hardworking individual for a Senior Computer Vision Scientist position within the Algorithms & AI team. You will work closely with other Research Scientists and Software Engineers to develop solutions in the areas of robotic vision and image understanding. This will be an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in solving complicated problems for next-generation robotic platforms.

Core Job Responsibilities:

• Develop computer vision algorithms for object pose and size estimation, scene reconstruction, and event detection (in Python/C++)
• Contribute to the development of new clinical datasets and annotation tools
• Implement and verify algorithm performance in benchtop and clinical settings

Skills/Requirements:

• Candidate with a Ph.D. degree and specialization in Computer Vision, Robotics, or Machine Learning.
• Experience and understanding of deep-learning frameworks for 3D scene reconstruction, segmentation, object tracking, and pose estimation.
• Proven track record of delivered projects using C++ and Python
• Familiarity with cross-platform software development and version control systems (Git, etc.)
• Experience with medical robotic systems is desirable
• Experience in developing a dataset and deploying computer vision and machine learning models into real-world applications is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud computing and infrastructure is a plus
