Auris Health, Inc., part of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, is redefining medical interventions. By combining advancements in medical robotics, instrumentation, navigation, and data science, we are building intelligence platforms capable of growing the applicability of robotics to a new spectrum of medical procedures. We are seeking a talented individual for a Senior Research Scientist position within the Algorithms & AI team. You will work closely with other Research Scientists and Software Engineers to develop innovative solutions in the areas of robotic-assisted medical procedures. Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and implementing the image segmentation, 3D reconstruction and registration algorithms on the multi-modal data acquired from different medical imaging devices.
  • Build and establish the data processing pipelines for connecting interventional imaging devices and robotic platforms
  • Develop and deploy machine learning frameworks for medical robotic systems.
  • Implement and verify algorithms and pipelines in both benchtop and clinical settings, which will also involve experimental design and data collection activities.
  • Responsible for supporting Verification and Validation activities and preparing reports for FDA regulations.
  • Work in a multi-functional team, collaborate with Product and UX researchers for user workflow design

Required Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. degree with a concentration in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Medical Imaging, Robotics, Biomedical Engineering or relevant fields.
  • Proven track record of deploying computer vision and machine learning algorithms into real-world applications.
  • Good understanding of 3D vision algorithms, such as multiple-view 3D reconstruction, segmentation, registration and pose estimation.
  • Hands-on experience with machine learning on medical imaging datasets.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or C++.
  • Exposure to robotics.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with DICOM data processing.
  • Experience with working on medical imaging devices such as CT and Fluoroscopic Scanners.
  • Experience with using TensorRT for machine leaning deployment is a plus
