Job Description

This critical role sits at the intersection between business processes, technology solutions, and user experience and will lead all aspects of strategy, operation, and sustainability of multiple technology platforms containing digital products that enable our business processes. This person will be a member of the Digital Strategy Transformation Leadership team and the CSS Digital Council.

The Digital Product Owner will focus on collaboration with key partners across the business and information technology organizations to optimize the value our digital platforms create. The role will require a balance of technical expertise as a key adviser to the business as well as a high level of supply chain domain knowledge to coordinate and translate business requirements to technical development resources. Strong leadership skills paired with technical and supply chain business expertise are essential to success in this highly visible and influential position.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • 50%: Responsible for key digital program management especially Control Tower, ensuring smooth and efficient execution for the programs in CNV and BWI. Plan for MEN in the future.
  • Lead the development and continual refresh of the roadmaps for the digital platforms ensuring that projected business capabilities, technical capabilities, financial plans, and value propositions are clearly understood and aligned with business strategy and plans.
  • Convert the platform roadmaps into an executable backlog of prioritized features in coordination with supply chain digital strategy leaders and stakeholders.
  • Ensure the effective development and handoff of emergent capabilities from project teams so that these solutions are integrated as sustainable products into the platform.
  • Support project teams on development of business case for new capabilities. Provide input on financials for the costs of development and ongoing operations in the platform as well as the benefits and value the solutions are projected to generate.
  • Drive adoption of digital products through change management in partnership with business process owners to ensure maximum effectiveness of digital solutions.
  • Develop strong partnerships with JJT, the enterprise and sector Digital & Data Science organizations, and other global functions to effectively influence architecture decisions, manage effectiveness of processes, plan for technology landscape changes, and coordinate UX design for the platforms.
  • 20%: Lead other digital programs related to IoT, Business Intelligence (BI), and Intelligent Automation (IA).
  • Strategic planning, budgeting, and goal setting: Setting strategic goals and objectives for the digital programs in scope, aligning them with the organization's overall strategy.
  • Program management: Overseeing the planning, execution, and management of these programs, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the desired outcomes.
  • Collaboration and stakeholder management: Collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful implementation, fostering effective communication and coordination.
  • Innovation and improvement: Identifying and analyzing opportunities for innovation and process improvement within the digital programs, driving continuous enhancement and optimization.
  • Performance monitoring and evaluation: Monitoring and evaluating the performance of the digital programs, tracking key metrics and KPIs, and making data-driven decisions to optimize program outcomes.
  • 30%: Digital program governance and acting as a part of the digital PMO.
  • Portfolio management including business plans (BP), mid-term plans (MTP), and long-range financial plan (LRFP).
  • Follow and update a clear and cohesive digital program roadmap aligned with business priorities.
  • Facilitate value-driven initiatives for tangible benefits and enablement.
  • Coordinate and collaborate effectively among stakeholders for successful program execution.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate program performance, optimizing outcomes as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor’s degree is required and a focus in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or another technical major is preferred.
  • B.S. in Operations Research, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Quantitative MBA is highly desirable.
  • 8+ years of experience in multiple supply chain functions or related fields.
  • Adept at identifying and gathering pain points, aligning them with strategic priorities, and developing comprehensive initiative roadmaps.
  • Business acuity in emerging digital technologies and their implications for the supply chain operations is required. Examples of such technologies include IoT, AI/ML, intelligent automation, simulation, optimization, Large Language Modeling (LLMs).
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure & Databricks environment is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of BI and data solutions, including Power Pivot, cubes, data warehouse, and data marts is required.
  • Experience with data visualization and presentation (Power Platform / Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense, etc.) is preferred.
  • Ability to understand, shape, and measure the business value of solutions, while managing competing stakeholder priorities and ambiguity is required.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize work, problem solve, and deliver the maximum business value is required.
  • Ability to build strong networks and manage stakeholder expectations across the business at all levels is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Up to 20% travel may be required.

Other:

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $113,000 to $195,500

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
