The Senior Director of Supply Chain Enterprise Architecture & Strategy will work at the intersection of business & technology to define strategies that combine a deep understanding of business objectives with technology capabilities.

This role will set the strategic direction for the Enterprise Supply Chain technology landscape and shape the overall architecture strategy, including technology, business process, data, security and solution architecture, while aligning architecture strategy with business needs. The scope of the role includes IT architecture and strategy for Quality, Procurement, Transportation, Pricing & Contracting, and Mergers and Acquisitions. Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Vision & Strategy Definition: developing business capability roadmaps and articulating technology strategies to guide large investment decisions that drive clear business value
  • Designing Application Landscapes: crafting the target state architecture, and defining the current and future role each system plays within our landscape
  • Driving Data and Integration Strategies: championing the value creation from data; simplifying the integration landscape
  • Problem Definition and Conceptual Architecture: understanding and translating business problems into a comprehensive set of solutions spanning process, technology, data, governance & user experience, and creating conceptual architectural designs for critical initiatives
  • External Insights: understanding external trends to introduce future-proof decisions in various technology domains, including cloud compute, ERP, integration, data and analytics, SaaS, artificial intelligence & automation, and user experience
  • Internal Partnerships: connecting, shaping, and building partnership within the Johnson & Johnson Supply Chain Technology product groups, product leads, and federated enterprise architecture community, striving to identify and improve enterprise capabilities which can be used across sectors.
  • External Partnerships: working directly with vendors to influence development roadmaps & ensure that our technology partners address our needs
  • Technology Expertise: acting as a domain authority on choosing and implementing major technology solutions.
  • SC Architecture Community of Practice Leader: aligning and sharing of standards, guidelines, findings, leverage opportunities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s level degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Science, Math, Engineering or related field is required; an advanced level master’s or MBA degree is preferred
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience performing progressively advanced duties in various architecture disciplines
  • Experience practicing business, application, information, and technology architectures and leading architecture teams is required
  • Ability to lead and direct multiple engagements developing key architecture artifacts and standards while following an architecture development processes is required
  • Experience creating business capability roadmaps, multi-year business facing technology strategies, conceptual & logical solution architectures is required
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain business capabilities, processes, data structures and related systems is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of ERP / SAP is preferred
  • Experience with integration middleware technologies and microservices is preferred
  • Experience with RPA, artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies
  • Portfolio rationalization and IT strategic portfolio planning and business alignment experience
  • Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills: experience gaining alignment and agreement from business and IT leaders is required
  • Up to 20% domestic and international travel will be required

For U.S. applicants, in accordance with applicable disclosure requirements, the anticipated base pay range for this position is $163,000 to $282,900. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
