We are recruiting for a Principal Data Scientist to join our Consumer Experience Organization to manage a team of rock star Data Scientist’s in the US.

This position can be based in Skillman, NJ, or Fort Washington, PA as well as remote work options may be considered if approved by the Company.

In this role you will:

This role is part of our Global Consumer Experience Organization, Business Intelligence & Data Science team with direct responsibility of our Scientists in the US. You will partner with team to identify, prioritize, and implement data science solutions focused on Precision Media, Consumer Insights, Healthcare Professional Marketing, and Ecommerce.

You will establish outstanding data science methodologies and processes and outcome measurement. You will have strong collaborative partnerships with multiple other functions: J&J Technology, Marketing, Customer Experience, Digital Experience, and various suppliers.

• Lead and develop US data science team
• Work closely with business partners to identify their business requirements, crafting a portfolio of high-priority data use cases or products
• Identify and prioritize opportunities within the business for Data Science to drive exponential value as well as ensure sharing and implementation of the best data science methodologies and processes across markets and functional areas
• Build end to end data science solutions/products and embed usage into the business
• Lead all aspects of project results and quality control processes of the modeling efforts
• Lead the conceptualization, technical development, and launch and maintenance of data science solutions
• Translate analytics insights into recommendations that are clearly linked to the organization's strategy and goals

Qualifications
What we are looking for:

• Masters and 8 years of relevant analytics, data mining and modeling experience or PhD and 5 years of relevant experience
• Degree focused within in statistics, mathematics, economics, or applied science is required
• Prior experience managing a team/people leadership of data scientist’s is required
• Experience delivering projects across broad range of marketing efforts (i.e., Consumer Segmentation and Targeting, Media Optimization, CRM, Health Care Professional, Ecommerce, ROI Measurement) is required
• Experience in digital marketing is preferred; experience within FMCG/CPG category is preferred
• Strong business acuity, deep analytic consulting experience and passion for keeping up with analytics and technology trends
• Experience working with commercial functions to understand business requirements, model creation and optimization, understanding results and communicating back concrete insights
• Experience with the advanced techniques and tools common to the data science world such as Apache Spark, sparkML, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, XGBoost, Tidyverse is required
• Working experience with cloud computing service in GCP and AWS
• Proactively seeks out new opportunities and can provide innovative solutions to business challenges
• Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and deal effectively with ambiguity
