Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting a Data Scientist, Senior Analyst (New Consumer Health Company). This position is located in New Brunswick, NJ.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Consumer Health business to create a new publicly traded company.?The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 24 months, and it will be subject to legal requirements including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as required, and other customary conditions and approvals.?

It is anticipated that, following the conclusion of the transaction, this position may be conveyed with New Consumer Health. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to the successful candidate by New Consumer Health at an appropriate time and would be subject to any necessary consultation processes.

?Job Description:

• Collect data from various sources and organize and analyze the results to build intuitive statistical reporting utilizing visualization and business intelligence tools
• Provide a clear interpretation and communication of data to aid in decision making 
• Support the FP&A mission by providing advanced analytical support and delivering profit driven insights
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within FP&A and across the enterprise to advance the use and application of data science 

• Drives the adoption of appropriate infrastructure and methodologies to equip departments with the necessary tools to be successful 
• Review data requests to identify and understand the information needed 
• Develop a data retrieval plan to pull the data efficiently from different data repositories
• Perform development of highly complex queries, stored procedures, and views using SQL as well as ETL processes
• Assist in performing the feasibility analysis of any new change requirements and provide optimal solutions to the corporate FP&A team with clear timelines

• Understand the functional and technical design and architecture to implement any new changes or systems
• Support the creation of the financial metrics data architecture and governance including reconciliation and gap analysis
• Assist in defining the business flow of process improvements and implementing my best practices for technology in FP&A
• Assist in delivering and maintaining dashboards/portals designed to analyze performance and identify opportunities for increased efficiencies
• Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the FP&A department 

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Management, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
• A minimum of 3+ years of experience in data analytics and/or data science 
• Strong proficiency in MS SQL Server, highly complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views
• Expertise with MS Excel and standard visualization software such as MS Power BI or Tableau 

• Strong understanding of data analytics and master data management 
• Knowledge and experience with system deployment methodologies (Agile, Hybrid Agile, etc.) 
• Work experience in data visualization, data science, and analytics tools
• Ability to define the appropriate metric framework to empower data-driven decision-making processes

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience in influencing corporate finance or FP&A teams by providing accurate insights
