SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER (DATA SCIENTIST)

Installs and evaluates information technology applications and troubleshoots problem areas. Supports continuous improvement initiatives in business processes through data.

You will be responsible for:

Digitalization implements Continuous Improvement techniques and tools in breakthrough and transformational Digital assignments to deliver the expected business results and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

Analyzes, designs, programs, implements, and integrates complex computer applications. Edits and finalizes concept design specifications for existing systems. Troubleshoots high level applications. Oversees the installation and testing of hardware and software. Operates and provides advanced technical support for information management applications including data networking, database design, hardware and software configuration, software development, systems design, training, and security. Organizes all aspects of application development, from analysis through implementation. Provides documentation, application design, project plans, and computer code necessary to successfully implement new applications. Support current systems, and designs and implements complex features as requested. Develops computer logic flowcharts for analysis and integration. Leads research, recommends, and implements advanced application upgrades, enhancements, and required modifications to keep current and meet the end-user needs. Maintains and configures local area networks and wide area networks utilizing various network management applications and comprehensive diagnostic tools and technologies.

• TRAINING: Complete training in area of responsibility. Training is required for changes in existing policies and procedures, for new assignments and for implementation of new policies and procedures. Complete required periodic re-training and ensure that required periodic re-training takes place for direct reports in areas such as safety and environmental
• SAFETY: Set standards for safe behavior. Recognize and reward safe behavior in others.
• Follow General safe process and GMP’s
• Under general direction, follows the steps of the system development life cycle, from idea to post implementation support.
• Works very closely with project lead and business owner to build/maintain system, digital and operating procedures.
• Partners with other sites to ensure consistency and standardization of processes, systems, digital and operating procedures.
• They would need to demonstrate an understanding of business partner needs and manage business partner satisfaction relative to deliverables trough digitalization.
• Ability to troubleshoot, identifies, and plan corrective actions.
• Meet or exceed customer requirements with respect to time, cost efficiency & business value.
• Provide mentoring and coaching to junior team members.
• Apply knowledge of industry and competitive environment in all facets of daily job functions.

• Work with Architects to ensure ability to integrate components.
• Technical and Digital Development .
• Accountable for delivering solution components to an agreed functional specification.
• Configure logic, business rules, and tables to meet business objectives.
• Work with Architects to ensure optimal designs.
• DEV, QA & Prod / Testing - UAT
• Accountable to ensure / validate that solutions meet specifications, and the established standards and processes are followed.
• Ensure that solutions scale and meet performance requirements.
• Training
• Accountable to ensure, that end users have the knowledge and skills needed to realize full value from a solution.
• Work with Solution Designers to ensure, that solutions are engineered to minimize user-training needs.
• Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
• For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable
• Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
• Performs other duties assigned as needed

Qualifications – External & Internal

Requirements and Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in systems engineering, Mechatronics, mathematics or related
• 4 to 6 years of experience in Information Technologies or similar fields.

• Must have experience in manufacturing operations environment, as well as manufacturing equipment and interfaces.
• Qlik Sense and & Microsoft Power Apss
• CMMS, SQL, Access, CAPA, NCR systems LIMS and QA implementation and validations systems, SDLC, CSV validations and process, Windows: word processing, project planning, presentation, e-mail, and spreadsheet software preferred.

Knowledge and Skill Sets:

• Project Management Knowledge.
• Active participation as core team member for key business/IT initiatives is required.
• Possess an understanding of computer systems and/or validated systems.
• Candidates must possess excellent oral and written communication skills (Spanish & English), strong interpersonal skills, and customer service attitude.
• Personal computer skills.
• Network & Data Base knowledge
• Bilingual (Spanish & English)
• Green Belt Certification or Black Belt certification preferred.
• Advance computer skills and use of software applications such as but not limited to AutoCAD, Excel (including Charts/Graphs), Minitab and Word.
