The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for system architecture design, software and hardware design, software integration, verification plans, and documentation of a variety of medical devices. Must work well independently as well as part of a focused, multi-disciplined development team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • System Architecture design,
  • Hardware design for medical devices
  • Software design and implementation for medical device 
  • Construction and maintenance of software and hardware requirements 
  • Design and implementation of software interfaces 
  • Test case development, unit and integration testing 
  • Leading and participating in design reviews, code reviews and system integration activities 

Qualifications

Skills/Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Electrical or Software Engineering required.
  • Experience in Medical Device Product Development a plus
  • Hands-on electrical circuit design experience of analog, digital, and mixed signal systems
  • Experience programming embedded microcontrollers ( C/C++, Python)
  • Experience in developing multi-threaded applications on real-time operating systems. 
  • Experience in systems design, allocation of requirements, and analyses (system, subsystem, and component modeling)
  • Detailed, methodical approach to failure investigations
  • Integration of custom circuitry to embedded PC systems and subcomponents.
  • Knowledge of QNX and/or Linux would be a big plus.
  • Experience with electrical design software tools (Altium)
  • Must be able to communicate ideas and information clearly, effectively, and frequently (oral and/or written) within program team and throughout the company.
  • Familiarity with standard data algorithms and machine learning techniques.
  • Experience designing with and programming FPGA’s a plus
