This position’s primary location will be Titusville, NJ with consideration to be located in Raritan, NJ and Horsham, PA This position will require up to 10% travel, primarily in the NJ and PA areas.

This role will be responsible for shaping, managing, and developing new Generative AI initiatives across Janssen Commercial NA. The Senior AI Engineer will serve as a domain expert in generative AI, and partner closely with senior leadership to create a long-term roadmap. This leader will also partner with data scientists, data engineers, solutions architects, and business partners to ensure successful and responsible design, integration, and adoption of generative AI use cases. The role will also require hands-on development using the most up-to-date generative AI technologies.

Responsibilities

Generative AI Technical Product Ownership

• Serve as the technical owner for generative AI solutions and products within Commercial NA
• Partner with senior leaders and peers across technology and business functions to shape new Generative AI Solutions and LLM Operations

Technical Responsibilities

• Work closely across commercial NA functions to quickly prototype and integrate large language models (LLM) into commercial NA products
• Create end-to-end generative AI pipelines through software engineering, data engineering, LLM development, and integration
• Technical project lead, accountable for the end-to-end development of generative AI solutions

Talent Development

• Organizing technical seminars, trainings and workshops in generative AI to upskill data scientists, data engineers and others across the broader technology organizations
• Support upskilling of brand partners and other collaborators in the foundations of generative AI to drive a basic understanding across the organization

Qualifications

Required

• S. with 5+ years, or Ph.D. with 2+ years of experience building AI solutions in healthcare industry
• You are passionate about new technical advances in Artificial Intelligence and are excited to apply them to solve problems
• Experience shaping and deploying generative AI models, including deep generative models, GANs, VAEs, or other related architectures
• Strong programming skills in Python, along with proficiency in machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras
• Experience leading development of LLM pipelines and working in Agile teams to enable products from conception through production
• Experience working in cross-functional teams to deliver outstanding results
• Experience across data engineering, software engineering and data science
• Experience developing and tuning foundational deep learning models
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, multiple stakeholders, matrixed teams, and evolving needs
• Ability to shape generative AI solutions in close partnership with business stakeholders based on business needs

Preferred

• Experience with sales and marketing use cases
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Experience delivering AI solutions to improve experiences for end-users
• A strong publication record or contributions to the AI research community is a plus
