Job Description
Your Role and Responsibilities
The Google Cloud Data Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data processing systems on the Google Cloud Platform. This includes working with customers to understand their data needs, designing and implementing data pipelines, and monitoring and troubleshooting data systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, and Hive, as well as experience with cloud computing platforms, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Design, build, and maintain data processing systems on the Google Cloud Platform.
Work with customers to understand their data needs and requirements.
Design and implement data pipelines.
Monitor and troubleshoot data systems.
Stay up-to-date on the latest big data and cloud computing technologies.
Work with other engineers and architects to develop and improve data processing solutions.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, and Hive.
2+ years of experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Azure.
Experience with data modeling and data warehousing.
Experience with data analysis and machine learning.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
