WHAT TO EXPECT:

Our 12-week internship program will allow you to take your academic knowledge and apply it in the business world. You will be immersed in our development process and will fully participate in our project teams to deliver real world value to Dialexa and our clients. There will also be time for fun including intern outings and company field trips. You will have the opportunity to learn, make new friends, and build products that you can be proud of. DUTIES

As a data science intern, you will be responsible for the following:

• Assisting data scientists in analyzing and processing large datasets.
• Working within multiple phases of the machine learning project lifecycle.
• Designing and implementing data-oriented solutions and solving data-related problems such as: formulating data science problems and running machine learning experiments, designing/developing data structures and data flows, etc.
• Understand the business drivers behind a given project and tackling a real world problem.
• Creating and presenting findings and insights with the data team and business stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS

Candidates will be asked to step outside their comfort zone of expertise and explore new technologies and skills. No prior professional experience is required but data science exposure is a big plus!

Minimum Qualifications:

We are looking for individuals who:

• Are currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, Information Systems, Analytics or similar quantitative discipline.
• Have experience analyzing large datasets using tools like Python/SQL/R.
• Are familiar with working with Python libraries such as Pandas, Sci-kit learn, Numpy, and/or Tensorflow.
• Can take initiative in their work and have a self-starter mentality.
• Show a strong desire to learn more about data science.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Have proven data science/ML experience through previous employment or academic activities.
• Demonstrate strong analytic, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Have solid communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
