Your Role and Responsibilities

Who you are:

• The resource would be required to develop and plan required analytic projects in response to business needs. Should have experience in development of data models and protocols for mining production databases.

• Development of analytical models based on the then business requirements and the nature of data. The entire process will be led by the Data Scientist, who would act as an advisor on what analytical reports shall be undertaken. A critical KPI for the Data Scientists is to present a report every quarter on (a) how existing analytical models can be improvised and (b) what new analytical exercise and models need to be taken up

• The resource should bring in thought leadership and drive the team to develop/innovate new analytical methods and/or tools as required or even suo moto

• While developing or innovating models, the resource should adhere to data mining architectures, modeling standards, reporting, and data analysis methodologies and provide/apply quality assurance best practices for data mining/analysis services

• Apart from delivering in terms of advanced statistical and business intelligence models, the resource should conduct research and make recommendations on data mining products, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts as an ongoing service to the client

• The resource should modify existing models based on requirements and needs; should adhere to change control and testing processes for modifications to analytical models

• The resource should respond to and resolve data mining performance issues; monitor data mining system performance and implement efficiency improvements

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Qualification: The resource should be a PG/Mtech in the related areas like Statistics, Mathematics, Data Sciences/ Analytics or related areas. Certifications in related fields is highly desirable.

Experience: The resource should have a very strong experience in data analytics and data handling and experienced in statistical programming on latest IT tools of data analysis. The resource shall have demonstrated experience of leading at least 5 analytical projects of value not less than INR 50 lakhs.

Should have at least 5 years of experience in advanced analytics and in developing models using advanced analytical tools. Shall have worked in the solution/ tool proposed by the BISP for at least 2 years. Knowledge of R and other open source analytical tools is highly desirable.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Should be well conversant in English and should have excellent writing, MIS, communication, time management and multi-tasking skills
