Your Role and Responsibilities

As an Associate Data Scientist at IBM, you will work to solve business problems by combining leading open source tools such as Python, R and TensorFlow with IBM tools and our AI application suites. You prepare, analyze and understand data to generate insights, predict new trends and make recommendations for stakeholders.

In your role you can be responsible for:

• Implementation and validation of predictive and prescriptive models as well as creation and maintenance of statistical models with a focus on big data and incorporating machine learning techniques into your projects
• Writing programs to clean and integrate data in an efficient and reusable way
• You will work in an agile, collaborative environment where you will work with other scientists, engineers, consultants and database administrators from all disciplines to apply analytical rigor and statistical methods to the challenges of behavioral prediction
• Communicate with internal and external clients to understand and define business requirements and appropriate modeling techniques to provide analytical solutions.
• Evaluation of modeling results and communication of the results to technical and non-technical target groups

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• A good bachelor's degree (grade point average 2.5 or better) with a focus on IT and/or economics, which was usually not more than 24 months old
• Ideally basic knowledge of AI development (Python, Pytorch, Tensorflow, etc.), and enthusiasm for topics such as AI, cloud, security, quantum and state-of-the-art software development
• You are committed, face new challenges and are characterized by communication and team skills
• You are flexible and mobile
• You have very good knowledge of German and English
