As a Brand Technical Specialist your responsibilities include supporting your sales counterparts as they prospect, propose, and progress deals in your assigned territory. The Brand Technical Specialist brings competencies and experience to design solutions that solve client problems leveraging IBM’s market leading solutions in customer care, conversational AI, natural language processing, forecast, budget and planning, business intelligence and governance.

In This Role You Will:

  • Actively develop and progress qualified opportunities with the IBM Sales Team
  • Act as a deep technical expert in sales opportunities, and leverage your experience to make presales engagements successful
  • Collaborate with other internal IBM teams to drive unmatched customer satisfaction
  • Maintain an understanding of the client’s industry, including industry trends, industry business processes
  • Deliver solution workshops, product demonstrations, technical education, and Proof of Concepts while articulating business value for our Watson solutions
  • Collaborate with IBM sales teams to define, design, and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions
  • Support customers across the sales cycle
  • Assist with Request for Proposal (RFP)/Request for Information (RFI) and other technical questionnaires

If you are hired into a Colorado work location, the anticipated compensation range for the position $134,000 to $207,000 is based on a full-time schedule. Your ultimate compensation may vary depending on your job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in a Technical Sales/Solution Consultant/Sales Engineer role or experience working with data solutions in a business environment
  • Proficiency and understanding of SQL
  • Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, Cognos Analytics, etc.)
  • Experience integrating APIs
  • Proficient in NodeJS
  • Experience working with the sales lifecycle and driving customer outcomes
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills at all levels of an organization
  • Driven and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to excellence in everything they do
  • Ability to build and maintain positive business relationships with peers and clients
  • Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
  • Experience with IBM Watson products (Watson Assistant, Watson Discovery, Watson Natural Language Understanding, etc.)
  • Experience with IBM Business Analytics tools: Cognos Analytics and Planning Analytics
