Job Description

The Data & AI Expert Labs team leverages Data and AI to drive transformative changes at customers leveraging Generative AI and other AI technologies.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Data & AI Solution Architect, you will work with customers to understand mission-critical company directives and transformation initives using Data & AI at the customer organization and develop architecture which will ensure scalability, reliability and performance. You will also work closely with a team of talented Data & AI experts to deliver transformative AI solutions to customers.

Your responsibilities include:

• Architecting complex Data and AI solutions based the customer’s business goals and requirements.
• Build expertise on IBM Data and AI products and services to be able to use the right set of products as part of the architecture and solution.
• Lead workshops, discussions, and presentations to help customers understand advantages of proposed solutions and best practice approaches to building the AI solution.
• Work with IBM sellers in pre-sales activities and help demonstrate IBM Data & AI product capabilities to customers.
• Provide Leadership to the implementation team for building the solution that will match customer’s requirements.
• Stay up to date with the latest developments in Data and AI technologies and infuse those into the solutions.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering
• 10+ years of experience with a minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect
• Knowledge of the IBM Cloud platforms or another as-a-service platform and its architecture (AWS, Azure, etc)
• Knowledge of Containers and Container Management Systems like OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python and Java
• Strong understanding of ML Algorithms and applying these principles in a variety of business applications
• Demonstrated success in overseeing the implementation of architectural solutions from conception to delivery.
• Strong leadership skills and demonstrated success in guiding engineering teams to success
• Demonstrable mastery for collaboration and driving resolution with a cross functional teams.
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
• Experience with agile software development
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Knowledge of Large Language Models
• Knowledge of IBM Watson and watsonx product portfolio
• Certifications in relevant technologies or architectures.
• Experience of using MLOps tools and processes for model building.
• Experience with Enterprise Design Thinking Methodologies
