Your Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for a Cloud DevOps Intern to join the IBM Watson Media Streaming team.

As a Cloud DevOps Intern at IBM Watson Media, you will participate in the development and maintenance of video streaming solution, a product with more than 10 years history.
As a member of a DevOps agile team, you will face challenges every day where teamwork is key. You will participate in the full SW development lifecycle of our cloud based live and on-demand video streaming and processing solution.

The technology stack is complex and includes many technologies like:

Languages:

• Java, Golang, C/C++, Clojure, Lua, Python

Infrastructure:

• Terraform, Chef, Consul, Jenkins, Redis, RabbitMQ, S3 Object storage, IBM Cloud, Prometheus, Grafana

Video streaming:

• ffmpeg, VTT, HLS, Captioning, RTMP

Grab a snack from the Turo Rudi machine on your way to the floor to ceiling mobile whiteboard walls where you check the ideas from your team’s last Design Thinking workshop. Need a break? Play a few minutes with one of the dogs spending their day at the office.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
