Join the Siri team at Apple as the ML Software Engineer, Intern. You will design and build tools for automation in support of qualifying Siri features. This is a fast-paced role with high visibility, impact and helping to build the most advanced systems in the industry.

Key Qualifications

• Knowledge of core computer science concepts such as object-oriented design, algorithm design, data structures, problem-solving, and complexity analysis
• Strong experience programming in Python with robust and efficient code
• Experience with databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB)
• Familiar with a cloud-based environment such as AWS or GCP
• Experience with building backend systems or services
• Unit/Integration testing experience
• Ability to collaborate within and across teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Self-motivated and pro-active with proven creative, problem solving, and critical thinking capabilities.

Description

This position requires someone with the passion for Quality Engineering in support of delivering high quality products to Apple Customers, as well as, being a great partner with Product Engineering teams in establishing solid Automation and test frameworks. We also need a strong candidate that can work cross-functionally to understand the challenges and to design, review proposals and build solutions. You will gain a wealth of experience in the Machine Learning System Evaluation Engineering (ML SEE) team in being exposed to all teams, tools, and technologies. Education & Experience

Obtaining M.S., or PhD in Computer Science or related field

Additional Requirements

• Experience working with large data sets, ETL
• Familiarity with deep learning and machine learning algorithms and the use of popular AI/ML frameworks
• Experience with natural language processing (NLP), large language models, BERT, GPT, or Transformers
• Knowledge of frontend technologies such as React or Next.js
• Experience with Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Solr, or other search engines
• Experience with containerization/orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with CI/CD automation tools such as TeamCity or Jenkins
• Experience in testing and debugging remote server API requests or other protocols
• Previous experience in a large-scale company relating to AI/ML or Assistants
