Job Description

The CreateML team is looking for an outstanding software engineer to create state-of- the-art machine learning frameworks. In this highly collaborative role, you will be at the center of multiple efforts to make machine learning an accessible and powerful tool for all developers. The team is seeking someone with proficiency in software development with specific skills developing intuitive and extensible APIs, and has good understanding of machine learning use cases, and underlying technologies in various domains, such as computer vision, natural language, speech and audio. You should have a strong mix of education and practical experience with a real passion for diving into exciting problems head first.

In this dynamic and visible position the successful candidate will be building developer tools focused on machine learning for Apple platforms and devices. We are looking for a highly motivated engineer to join our efforts to build frameworks and libraries that enable developers to create and integrate machine learning models in their applications. Key Qualifications

• Strong and proven software development skills. Proficiency in Swift is a plus
• Skilled with machine learning basics, such as model training, evaluation, inference and on-device optimization
• Passion for software architecture, data structures and processes
• Excellent communication skills that can help others understand code/problems/ideas
• Experience using Apple’s frameworks and libraries will shorten on-boarding time, but not required

Education & Experience

BS, MS, or PhD degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical field and minimum 2 years experience in software development.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $130,000 and $242,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
