Our team is primarily responsible for making Siri the best voice assistant in China, teaching Siri how to understand the languages is the main goal of our team.

Our Team is looking for a Siri linguist who are motivated to analyze ASR issue, have solid engineering skill to improve ASR modeling with data driven manner, and have basic Chinese phonetic's knowledge that help Siri to become more knowledgable of the language.

Key Qualifications

• Experience in automatic speech recognition, data analytics skills to identify opportunities, optimize with metric driven mind
• Skilled in data processing engineering skills, experiences in machine learning and data mining
• Motivation for informing accuracy metrics and processes, passionate for identifying and resolving any user facing issues
• Great team player and communication skills
• Native Chinese language speaker and proficiency of Mandarin Chinese, with basic phonetics knowledge
• Intimate knowledge of greater China region and its culture

Description

We are looking for linguist as a key role to improve Siri’s speech recognition, which is an important step to make Siri more intelligent to understand Chinese user well. The role will take the owner ship to drive ASR accuracy hillclimbing, by designing analytic process to identify opportunities, establish measurements to quantify meaningful quality metrics, connect to variety of feeds with data mining to argument training data, join and optimize the cutting-edge of machine learning modeling technics to deliver the best experience for Siri.

The role also involves the collaborations with other cross functional teams on the area of ASR, balancing between Chinese language specific optimization and the scalability across more international locales. Product mindset and the caring of user experience will always set direction of the work. Ultimately, your contribution would have a huge impact on hundreds of millions of users across the globe.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science, Computational Linguistic or equivalent, or experience in related fields
