Job Description

The AIML Data Operations team is a fast paced, dynamic environment. In this role you will engage with teams across Apple’s ecosystem with the ultimate goal of delivering high-quality data to be used for ML algorithm development.

You will be responsible for capturing initial requirements, creating data-collection protocols, working with support teams to resource projects adequately and delivering data to customers adhering to their timelines. You might also engage with legal and licensing teams to acquire rights to use data you identify that has been previously collected by 3rd parties.

Being successful at Data Collections in our team means that teams all across Apple, working on unreleased products and/or existing beloved features, will come to rely on you to provide them with high quality, data that they can use for ML model development.5+ years of experience managing projects or programs including large, cross-functional initiatives across global teams.

Excellent program management skills including program structuring, timeline & resource planning, vendor management and managing multiple work streams interdependently

Strong analytical skills and a curiosity to peel the onion to discover opportunities for impact and better user experience

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation and influence

Fastidious attention to detail, experience in quantifying work-impact

Excellent in teamwork and relationship building. Works to establish a collaborative working environment. Will go above and beyond to get the job done.

Follows through on commitments exhibiting a high degree of ownership and accountability.

Strategic problem solver, continually looking for ways to increase productivity and decrease confusion for customers and operations teams.

Demonstrated expertise in LLM tools and technologies is a plus.

Experience partnering with legal teams for data licensing is a plus

Automated data validation experience using ML technologies is a strong advantage

Experience with Python, GIT or other source control & Programming languages is a strong advantage

As a top-tier program manager with exceptionally high EQ, you love working with people across technical and non-technical domains to solve problems and deliver results. In this role, you’ll have a chance to lean on your technical background while you engage with teams across Apple’s ecosystem who are working on innovative machine learning technology.

You will work across numerous groups in the engineering teams as well as other support teams across Apple to deliver data to your customers, adhering to their requirements and specifications. You will act as the overall program manager ensuring the data is validated and collected respecting the contributor’s privacy. You will be driving the project from prototyping to scaling across global teams to QA. You will work with the data analytics team to create visualizations of the collection progress.

Ultimately, you will be responsible for ensuring the satisfaction of your customers by delivering data within all specified dimensions, and by working collaboratively to tackle problems as they arise, gaining your customer’s trust and confidence.

Education & Experience

Bachelors in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent is preferred

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $125,800 and $229,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
