Do you want to make Siri and Apple products smarter for our users? The Search Infrastructure teams are building groundbreaking technology for algorithmic search, machine learning, natural language processing, and artificial intelligence.

The features we build are redefining how hundreds of millions of people use their computers and mobile devices to search and find what they are looking for. Siri's universal search engine powers search features across a variety of Apple products, including Siri, Spotlight, Safari, Messages, Music, Lookup, and News.

Key Qualifications

• Ability to design resilient, scalable and performant distributed services.
• Strong coding skills.
• Experience defining and implementing API for AI models.
• Experience running and tuning inference systems.

The Search Infrastructure organization is looking for a software engineer to contribute to the language model platform used by Apple engineers. We define and implement API for foundational and fine-tuned models. We work with the ML Infra team to provide the best performance and utilization out of our inference servers. Our users are Apple employees.

BS/MS/PhD degree in Computer Science or related field, or relevant work experience.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900 and $256,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
