Job Description

Camera Algorithm team at Apple is dedicated to advance the state-of-the-art in camera technologies and build best image/video experience in the world. We are seeking camera algorithm engineers who are hard-working for excellent image quality and camera applications to enrich people’s life. In this role, you will be working on both researching core camera technologies and working on achieving the best quality on all Apple camera products. You will work closely with extraordinary experts in hardware and software teams and be the source of ideas to set directions for next era.

Key Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of processing that happens in an Image Signal Processor that converts a raw sensor image to a high quality YUV image
• Solid research and development experience in fields related to camera/ISP algorithms; ML-based image/video enhancements, such as de-noising, de-rain, de-focus, super resolution, etc.
• Strong skills in C/C++, Matlab, Python
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin and English
• Understanding and experience with camera sensors and optics, camera/ISP tuning, and mobile imaging in general will be a bonus.

Description

As a camera algorithms engineer in the team, you will be responsible for designing and developing novel camera/ISP algorithms and techniques, tuning existing camera/ISP algorithms and owning and driving projects in these fields delivering to all Apple camera products with collaboration across global teams in fast production iterations.

Education & Experience

MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent fields (Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mathematics, etc).
