You will join a small, fast-paced team that directly supports a variety of project managers, linguistic annotators, and other NLU stakeholders. Through collaboration and iterative development practices, your work will immediately impact the data quality and throughput of Siri NLU model development, helping us deliver a better Siri virtual assistant to our global user base. Key Qualifications

  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining APIs (GraphQL preferred), and cloud technologies (Kubernetes and AWS preferred).
  • Proficient coding skills in the back-end, data manipulation, and scripting languages (e.g., Java/Scala/Python/Go)
  • Proficient in SQL and NoSQL databases to build solutions for large scale systems (e.g., PostgresSQL, MongoDB, Spark)
  • Experience with web programming languages (e.g., Typescript/Javascript, Node.js, CSS) and modern frontend/web library/framework (React, Redux)
  • Some experience in building highly available production services, including deployment automation and scaling
  • Preferred experience with large-scale distributed data processing (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)
  • Excellent grasp of the fundamentals of software engineering.
  • Proficient knowledge of Git.

Description

Siri Language Technologies team is looking for a resourceful Full-stack Engineer who will drive the design and implementation of the annotation tooling data pipeline and web services to support the development of next-generation NLU technologies. You will be working directly with NLU data scientists and modeling engineers to interpret requirements and make informed design decisions. - Conceptualize, design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve annotation tooling with a modern technology stack, continuous integration, and deployment that will be used by multiple teams within AI/ML - Developing and maintaining complex, rich, large-scale web applications for data-intensive systems. - Ability to clearly communicate, and collaborate with designers, front end engineers, annotation project leads, data scientists, and data engineers as we develop highly reliable and scalable web services, and APIs - Build APIs and UIs that are simple and powerful - Help scale data infrastructure and drive data efficiency

Education & Experience

BS, MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree with applicable experience

Pay & Benefits

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900 and $256,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
