Job Description

As a Cloud Solution Architect aligned to Machine Learning for Microsoft's Customer Experience & Success (CE&S) organization, you will enable customers to achieve their outcomes based on their investments in Microsoft technology. Leveraging your Microsoft Azure Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technical subject matter expertise, you will lead technical conversations with customers and Microsoft colleagues, driving value to their organization. This includes accelerating customer adoption by building AzureML and Generative AI solutions and identifying resolutions to unblock customer success projects. You will also drive product influence with Engineering and increase technical intensity in the field. Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 4+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years experience working on technical projects in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).
  • 4+ years experience in enterprise-scale technical design, delivery, and/or consulting on Azure Machine Learning (or equivalent), MLOps, Open-Source AI frameworks, AI infrastructure, architecture design, Generative AI, NLP, Computer Vision, Search, and/or Deep Learning.
  • Experience creating AI Proof of Concepts and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) leading to production deployments.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 8+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 6+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications).
  • Expertise in advising customers on production workloads for Azure Machine Learning, or equivalent, including MLOps
  • Passion for learning new technologies and understanding market and relevant cloud trends
  • Ability to orchestrate, lead, and influence virtual teams, ensuring successful acceleration and unblocking of customer projects.
  • Experience driving decisions collaboratively, ability to communicate AI concepts effectively with stakeholders with varying technical acumen, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through with effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record of building deep technical relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand the customer’s industry and business in order to have relevant discussions with decision makers.
  • Familiarity or direct exposure to key AI scenarios that are driving innovation in industries such as Financial Services, Retail, Healthcare, etc.
  • Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences (Senior Executives, Management, Data Scientists, Engineers, etc.)

Cloud Solution Architecture IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $101,200 - $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $130,000 - $213,200 per year.
