We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist for our security research team to strengthen our ML-based protection components. You will work with large, complex data sets and tools and partner with our researchers, engineers, and data scientists. You will design quality metrics, build automated data anomaly detection, and influence our MLOps strategy for production ML-heavy systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design a long-term strategy for improving data quality controls and reliable operation of machine learning components
  • Apply advanced analytics and machine learning approaches to facilitate and automate day-to-day operation of data scientists and threat intelligence analysts
  • Use your unique learning from our data to instigate innovation and enhancement of our ML-based systems
  • Build visualization, monitoring, and alerting pipelines

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience as data scientist working with Big Data
  • 2+ years of experience with building or supporting ML-based production systems consuming billions of events per day 
  • Demonstrated technical competencies with large-scale data processing tools
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and other related tools for Data Science/Machine Learning 
  • Desire to work independently in an environment with multiple cross-functional stakeholders and ambiguity 
  • Experience formulating analytical problems, defining success metrics, developing plans and schedules for achieving metrics, and learning and iterating on further improvements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to simplify and explain complex ideas
  • Experience operating in Agile project management framework 
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
