Our team is working on improving financial experiences through connected enterprise scale distributed systems infused with smart analytics based on Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning capabilities. These will be delivered to our critical business processes enabling business partners to make data driven decisions. As a Sr. Software Engineer you will be involved in designing, developing, and implementing systems using Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning as well as full stack of Azure and relevant open source technologies. This is a data-driven and fast paced environment where Software Engineers are empowered to innovate and take ideas from conception to scale. Responsibilities

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Senior Software Engineer for Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning and cloud platform development leveraging Microsoft stack and Azure. You will be expected to work collaboratively across engineering teams in both Finance Engineering and Product Groups to solve complex technical challenges to meet business goals and maintain service health. You will also be expected to demonstrate the ability to learn and adopt relevant new technologies, tools, methods and processes from Microsoft and industry. You will use every opportunity to build capabilities reusable across multiple solutions both internal and external to Microsoft, as well as leverage features from others in your solutions. The software you build will help run some of the most important financial services at Microsoft. You will be part of a talented team where learning from peers and growing as a team is a core theme.

Other responsibilities include:

• Lead design, requirements engineering, scrum execution, and technical discussions
• Architect platform capabilities keeping reusability, scalability and adoption in mind
• Deliver required capabilities per Microsoft standards and quality, aligning with portfolio roadmaps
• Detail design of the end-to-end solution - utilize reference architecture in project design work
• Enhance the project capabilities by continuous improvements & innovation, develop strong partnership with business and other groups, globally & ensure both excellence in design and delivery.
• Support Domain Architects in the definition of solution and technology roadmaps and industry standards
• Own and deliver complete features, including design, architecture, implementation, testability, debugging, and shipping.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Experience with building testable, distributed and highly scalable online services on Azure or similar cloud platform 
• Experience with C#, ASP.NET, REST, SQL, Python, HTML5, and JavaScript/jQuery
• Experience with some of the popular Machine Learning / Data Science frameworks and libraries such as Microsoft Cognitive Services, ML.Net, Azure ML, Keras, Matplotlib, NumPy, Scipy, Scikit-Learn, Pandas, PyTorch, TensorFlow
• Experience in Data Pipeline with Real Time Data flow
• At least 3 years' experience working with cloud-based services and DevOps concepts, tools and practices
• Experience working in cross-functional Agile engineering teams
• A passion for improving engineering practices and producing high quality software
• Self-motivated and customer-focused
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
• Ability to solve complex challenges/problems and rapidly deliver innovative solutions
• Ability to drive technical decisions across teams

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Big data technical stack experience is a plus such as HDFS, Spark, Ambari, ZooKeeper, Kafka, Databricks, Azure Synapse
• Experience with Natural Language Processing
• Experience with Graph technologies and datastores
