About the Role

In WebXT, Content verticals and Community teams aim to deliver personalized experiences and services making best use of the unique content Microsoft gains and the power of LLM being the integrated backend. We are seeking a Full Stack Engineering Leader and Manager (M2) with a strong focus on developing compelling front-end experiences, in-depth knowledge of user-experience architecture, and expertise in delivering scalable consumer services. This role requires a robust understanding of all layers of software development, demonstrated experience with Low Latency Machine Learning (LLM) applications in a consumer context, the ability to lead agile teams, and a passion for delivering high-quality, consumer-oriented online services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Demonstrated experiences and references in building a strong engineering organization.
  • Demonstrated experience innovating consumer-facing experiences and insights on LLM-powered applications.
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing engaging front-end user experiences (e.g. UX architectural design)
  • Experience in the consumer product domain, either has experienced in delivering consumer oriented service at scale, having developed and execute strategies for our UGC (User Generated Content) platform, fostering active user participation and engagement.
  • Strong understanding of end user experience with Agile methodologies, and quality enablement.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to align various stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of attracting, retaining, and mentoring top engineering talent.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the technical vision and strategy for the development and implementation of consumer-focused online services powered by LLM.
  • Innovate and implement robust, compelling front-end experiences and UX architecture that effectively engage our consumer base.
  • Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of engineers across various disciplines, creating a culture of collaboration, innovation, and agility.
  • Facilitate an agile development process, ensuring that team performance metrics are met and continuous improvements are implemented.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, UX/UI Design, Quality Assurance, and others, to align efforts and deliver comprehensive, consumer-focused solutions.
  • Establish best practices and hold high standards in online services development, including code reviews, automated testing, and DevOps methodologies.
