M365 Research and the Privacy Preserving Machine Learning Initiative are looking for a researcher to work on privacy and confidentiality aspects of machine learning.
The role offers the unique opportunity to work in close collaboration with other teams in Azure Research, Microsoft Research (MSR), Microsoft 365 and the Microsoft Security Response Center (MSRC).
The candidate will have freedom to shape their research agenda on topics related to understanding, measuring, and mitigating security and privacy attacks against Machine Learning systems. The candidate will work together with researchers and product teams alike to develop novel techniques based on this research and apply them in real-world scenarios.

The successful candidate will undertake cutting-edge research on privacy-preserving machine learning with a focus on natural language models, including the development of theory and experimentation.
