The Microsoft Artificial Intelligence (AI) Co-Innovation laboratories in Business Development provide a unique environment for partners and customers in artificial intelligence, global automation, robotics, to rapidly ideate and prototype their future technologies from silicon to cloud and from data to Machine Learning models.

The Business Development Manager Artificial Intelligence Consultant in the AI and Emerging Technologies Business Development organization provides an exceptional opportunity to manage delivering corporate level governance for highly strategic growth opportunities with internal and external stakeholders, alliance formations, ecosystem development and help pioneer customer engagements with responsibility for the project management and the hands-on operations of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Co-Innovation laboratories.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Vision or related field AND 5+ years relevant work experience as a programmer with software engineering experience and excellent debugging skills.
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
  • 5+ years of Python experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with Machine Learning Frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
  • Hands on experience developing Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions in a cloud environment such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Hands-on experience working on at least one of the following:
  • Experience in optimizing model performance, model surgery such as rewriting model graphs, fixing input sizes and masking approaches.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) for Machine Learning Operations (MLOps).

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with startups and/or entrepreneurs
  • Some knowledge of Microsoft's platforms and processes, including product and partner strategies.
  • Experience building partnerships and working across organizations
  • Passionate about incubating new ideas, solving problems, and building working systems.
  • Self-motivated, proven collaborators, good communicators, attentive to details, and keen to learn.
  • Practical experience working in a highly performant team in an academic or industrial research environment.

Business Development IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $101,200 - $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $130,000 - $213,200 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Architect customers and partners solution using Microsoft and Microsoft’s partner Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools.
  • Provide world class Code-With experience with customers and partners coming to the onsite lab locations, as well as virtually through Microsoft Teams or other tools.
  • Integrate Large Language Model (LLM) and other large models to run on devices
  • Develop algorithms based on and supporting LLMs
  • Integrate models, datasets, tests and training code to our lab environment, and/or partner environment.
  • Capture and summarize customer and partner feedback, signals, use case trends.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product development teams.
  • Industry Expertise: Develop industry expertise including competitive and market dynamics, product and technology trends.
