As the Azure CXP Data Science team, we leverage advanced analytics and ML/AI techniques to drive specific, measurable, and impactful improvements to key areas of Azure customer experience including engineering investments both within CXP as well as more broadly across Azure service and product engineering teams. In an environment of high opportunity and impact, we are looking for a strong lead who can deliver on key initiatives within the Data Science team as well as across the CXP Organization. The scope ranges from Excellence in DS to Compliance initiatives to adoption of standard Ways of Working (WoWs) resulting in quality and efficiency across the team.
Responsibilities
- DS Function support ensuring excellence in end-to-end delivery for DS products and Programs
- Implementation of Ways of Working in alignment with Microsoft Azure policy
- Managing cross-org initiatives such as Rapid Analytics, Responsible AI, etc.
- Conducting Compliance reviews and ensuring privacy, security and sovereignty of data per applicable policies
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience managing delivery of BI/Analytics/Data Science projects
- 5+ year experience with cross-functional program management
- 5+ years experience on leading large-scale data solutions delivery for Big Data stack (Data Lake, Spark, Hadoop) and distributed processing like Apache Spark, Azure Data Factory, Azure Automation or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in modern DevOps practices (including Git, CI/CD, Azure DevOps/VSTS)
- Strong organizational skills and structured approach to delivery and risk management
- Experience working in a fast-paced/competitive environment, and have a deep desire to work collaboratively, solve problems with groups, find win/win solutions and celebrate
- Long term strategic thinking and strong problem-solving skill
Working experience on any of the below technologies will be an added advantage:
- Experience with any analytical / visualization tool (Power BI, Cognos, OBIEE, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience in setting up internal quality processes and controls within a team
