In Thermo Fisher Scientific Brno, we develop and produce high-tech electron microscopes and spectrometers. Our devices are involved in research of SARS-CoV-2 virus or enable mobile phones to get smaller. Our work contributes to making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. What are we passionate about?

Our teams develop and invent automation applications for DualBeam scanning electron microscopes for Semiconductor customers. The goal of our products is to simplify complex processes and automate them.

What will you be working on?

  • Participating in all phases of the product development cycle as a quality assurance engineer
  • Verifying correct functionality of product features implemented by SW engineers
  • Verifying bug fixes made by SW engineers
  • Maintaining test scenario documentation
  • Developing automated test procedures
  • Preparing SQA recommendation reports

What technologies are we using?

  • We are using Python and C#, .NET standard
  • We are developing applications for Windows and Linux containers
  • For regression testing we use Robot Framework
  • For Dev-Ops we are using GitLab environment and Jira for bug tracking
  • For image processing and AI we use OpenCV
  • Other technologies we are using Elastic stack, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Tools such as JIRA and TestRail
  • Machine learning and Data science, statistical data processing, and tracing
  • Grafana, Kibana, Open telemetry

Who are we looking for?

  • University students of a Bachelor's or Master's degree with a technical background
  • Some programming knowledge and practice with Python
  • Knowledge and experience of SW testing
  • Curious mind with good problem-solving abilities
  • Solid communication in English
  • A love of science and a desire for continuous learning
