Location/Division Specific Information

As a Data Science Intern at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will have the unique opportunity to work alongside experienced data scientists, analysts, and engineers to gain hands-on experience in the world of data-driven decision-making. You will play a critical role in contributing to various data-related projects while developing your skills and knowledge in data science.

You will work within the Intelligence and Data Services (IDS) team on one or more projects related to data intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with data manipulation tools and programming languages such as Python or R.
• Basic knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistical methods is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and take initiative.
• Learn voraciously under the direction of your manager and senior team members.

Education

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.).

Experience

• Previous internships in data science or technical fields preferred

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $14.75–$45.75.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
