Job Description

As a Data Science Intern, you will be part of a team dedicated to increasing business efficiency of a Fortune 200 Company. This position provides an exciting way for a rising student passionate about Data Science to employ a cross section of machine learning and analytic processes to develop algorithms that will improve efficiency and drive revenue. You will quickly grasp the complex business priorities and marketing objectives to create value for the broader Data Science program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leverage existing skills in Python to automate existing business processes
• Participate in daily stand ups to understand how to work in an agile manner
• Develop methods to translate customer contacts to existing data tables for use in model output
• Proactively identify opportunities for new data uses to generate leads and drive revenue
• Effectively respond to ad hoc analyses

Minimum Requirements:

• Rising Junior studying Data Science, Analytics or similar degree
• Experience in SAS, SQL Server, Oracle and Python is helpful
• Familiarity with available Open Source solutions to boost effectiveness

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Comfortable extracting data from multiple sources, cleaning and validating for duplicates and other anomalies
• Employing math and statistics into algorithms
• Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects to execute responsibilities in a timely manner
• Must embrace team spirit and have strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and oral communications
