Responsibilities:

• Help build and lead a great data science team to deliver world-class products
• Understand the technical implementation as well as coaching and guiding the broader cross-functional and engineering teams to ensure a high level of technical execution
• Work with the team to define and manage the end-to-end process: scope projects, build pipelines and datasets, synthesize results, and communicate an informed recommendation.
• Work cross functionally with the rest of organization to influence product strategies and roadmaps, help build and influence a data informed decision making culture
• Build partnership and alignment with our data cross-functional partners, including Data Engineering, to author and develop core data sets and empower operational and exploratory analysis
• Establish strong partnership with executive level stakeholders in identifying opportunities, prioritize roadmaps, define and implement execution excellence, and coach and mentor team members
• Synthesize learnings and insights. Communicate a data narrative around product usage, tying this into the overall APJ Digital Commerce strategy
• Drive analytical rigor and guide predictive modeling, stats and ML initiatives for the broader organization
• Build/maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics to monitor the performance
• Cultivate culture of executional excellence and analytical rigor.

Education

• Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Statistics, Applied Math or Computer Science

Experience

• 8+ years’ practical experience in data mining and statistical modeling
• 3+ years’ experience in team management

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Strong working experience with SQL, Databricks, Python/PySpark
• Excellent communication skills, ability to translate complex technical details for non-technical audiences
