As an intern you will get you a chance to acquire real world business experience and build your network before graduation. We are seeking an energetic, responsible intern to join our growing organization. You will be part of our Strategic Business Intelligence team. The Strategic Business Intelligence Intern will be responsible for strategic business intelligence deliverables and large data science projects.
What will you likely do?
- Develop a broad understanding of the Thermo Fisher Scientific brand, the life sciences industry, the pharmaceutical services landscape including, but not limited to, products, markets, competitors, etc.
- Support business intelligence projects including identifying emerging trends relevant to the industries we serve, competitive intelligence, and macroeconomic trends
- Assists with producing, analyzing and interpreting data in a timely manner
- Update and manage strategic business intelligence data sets for the build out of dashboards with a keen eye towards data automation
- Learn and develop Power BI dashboards and other reporting tools
- Create PowerPoint and other documents including reports and present or assist in presenting findings to internal stakeholders
What are we looking for?
- Student of Management, Economics, Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacology, Engineering, or related fields
- Interest in conducting market research, competitive intelligence and data analysis
- Experience with programing languages such as Python and SQL.
- Familiarity with relational databases a plus
- Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills required, especially Excel
- Excellent English communication skills verbal and written (B2 and higher)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Willingness to learn, be mentored and improve
