How will you make an impact?

The Data Analytics Engineer will play a key role in supporting Category Teams and Senior Leadership with insights that help drive savings and manage risk across categories. The ideal candidate must have the ability to quickly adapt to a fast learning and changing environment as well as being a team player that finds solutions to challenges. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in optimizing our procurement operations by using data analytics and insights to make informed decisions, improve efficiency, and drive cost savings.

What will you do?

Scale of Responsibilities

 Data Analysis and Modeling:

  • Apply sophisticated data analytics and statistical techniques to extract meaningful insights from procurement data.
  • Develop predictive models to identify cost-saving opportunities

 Data Visualization:

  • Create visually appealing and informative data dashboards and reports to communicate findings to customers.
  • Present data-driven recommendations to management to support strategic decision-making.

Data Integration:

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless data integration from various sources, such as ERP systems and external data sources.

Supplier Performance Analysis:

  • Evaluate supplier performance using historical data and industry benchmarks to enhance supplier selection and negotiation processes.

 Process Optimization:

  • Identify inefficiencies in procurement processes and recommend improvements to enhance operational effectiveness.

 Risk Management:

  • Assist in identifying and mitigating procurement-related risks through data analysis and scenario modeling.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, supply chain, IT and finance, to align data-driven strategies with overall business goals.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Data Scientist in a multinational company.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL or Alteryx (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a thorough attitude.
