Job Description
We are now looking for an Applied AI & Deep Learning Research Intern to join our NeMo AI Applications team! Our team works on new neural models for speech recognition, text-to-speech synthesis, and speech procession . Do you love the challenge of training deep learning models? Do you love the challenge of identifying and optimizing the latest AI algorithms to help us grow into new and more pervasive verticals? If so, then join our team who designs large deep learning systems for speech and language processing.
What you'll be doing:
- Develop and prototype new Deep Learning models and training algorithms for speech recognition and speech synthesis
- Open-source models using NeMo conversational AI frameworks
What we need to see:
- Pursuing a Master's or PhD in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
- Strong knowledge in Deep Learning for Natural Language Processing or Speech Recognition
- Excellent Python programming skills
- Experience with PyTorch
- Ability to work independently
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
- Publications record (ICASSP, Interspeach, ASRU, …)
- Contribution to open-source projects.

The hourly rate for our interns is 19 USD - 93 USD. Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay determined based on the position and your location, year in school, degree, and experience.
