Job Description

NVIDIA is looking for data science focused LLM technologists with expertise in machine learning applications who have a passion for bringing groundbreaking solutions to life while working with internal and external customers. In this role you’ll be working on some of the most ambitious LLM applications in the industry and rapidly publishing solutions into the open source community. You’ll be part of an outstanding team of some of the top data scientists in the world including Kaggle Grandmasters that consistently publishes at the top venues in machine learning.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Crafting end-to-end applications that showcase state of the art (SOTA) practices using LLM’s and Nvidia AI and data science platforms.
  • Working directly with external and internal NVIDIA customers on some of the most meaningful LLM application problems in the industry.
  • Competing in AI challenges on Kaggle and other data science platforms, staying on top of and learning SOTA LLM practices, publishing research where applicable, and applying best practices to solve complicated problems.

What we need to see:

  • MS or PhD in Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of work-related experience in AI for natural language processing (NLP) and large language models (LLM) or otherwise demonstrated exceptional skill in NLP/LLMs
  • Strong programming skills in Python and expertise with DL frameworks such as PyTorch.
  • Demonstrated publication of code through Github or other open source release and ability to rapidly prototype and release solutions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively on communities like X(Twitter), Reddit, Kaggle forums, Discord, etc.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience with Nvidia AI and Data Science software platforms, including Nemo and RAPIDS.
  • Proven background in using LLM’s to solve complex customer problems.
  • Software development skills and a track record of releasing high quality code into open source.
  • Deep learning optimization skills including optimizing AI models for performance.
  • Being a Kaggle competition grandmaster with gold medals in NLP/LLM competitions.
  • Success in machine learning competitions, including reaching the level of Kaggle Grandmaster, or winning competitions sponsored by NeurIPS, CVPR, KDD, or other prestigious AI conferences.
