We are now seeking a talented SW Engineering Manager with strong leadership/ mentoring skills to join our Deep Learning Compiler Team. We are working to help develop technologies for hard problems in compiling Deep Learning models for current and future generations of GPU. Academic and commercial groups around the world are using GPUs to power a revolution in deep learning, enabling breakthroughs in problems from image classification to speech recognition to natural language processing and artificial intelligence. As deep learning models are becoming more versatile, using compiler technologies to achieve both high performance and high productive becomes essential. What you'll be doing:

  • Managing a team of experienced compiler engineers to analyze deep learning networks and develop compiler optimization algorithms.
  • Establish team objectives to meet schedules and goals, establish and evolve policies and procedures that affect the immediate organization, communicate with senior management for team vision and development.
  • Collaborating with members of the deep learning software framework teams and the hardware architecture teams to accelerate the next generation of deep learning software.
  • Insuring the scope of your team's efforts includes: defining public APIs, performance tuning and analysis, crafting and implementing compiler and optimization techniques for neural networks, and other general software engineering work.

What we need to see:

  • Bachelors, Masters or Ph.D. or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, related field (or equivalent experience)
  • A software engineer with 9+ years of overall experience with at least 6+ of those years with hands on management
  • Strong software design fundamentals and a deep understanding of compilers and programming languages
  • Knowledge of software engineering principles

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Knowledge of CPU and/or GPU architecture. CUDA or OpenCL programming experience
  • Experience with XLA, TVM, MLIR, LLVM, deep learning models and algorithms, and deep learning framework design.
  • Knowledge of compiler internals from front end to run-time environment

The base salary range is 216,000 USD - 414,000 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
